CPC Training

CPC Training - Train without the pain to secure your Driver CPC!

The New Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is for LGV drivers who drive professionally throughout the UK.

It is a legal requirement that involves all professional drivers undertaking 35 hours of Periodic Training every 5 years – and these are attendance courses, so no tests or exams!

Existing LGV drivers holding their licence on September 10, 2009, are exempt from the initial Driver CPC, but must complete 35 hours of training by September 9, 2014.

You can't choose whether or not to do it, but you can choose how well it’s done and how much it costs.

Advanced driver training offers:

Accredited Driver CPC training centre
Cost-effective training tailored to your needs
Dedicated training facilities, with a relaxed & friendly atmosphere
Experienced trainers

The training will be tailored to suit your specific industry and job. It is optional whether to attend all the 35 hours in one week or the minimum attendance up to 7 hours.

The purpose of driver CPC training:

The main aim behind the Driver CPC is to improve road safety; providing better qualified drivers keeping them up to date with any change in legislation and to help reduce road casualties. The Driver CPC should also bring improved economy to businesses through increased driver capability.

Tailored driver training packages available:

We deliver Driver CPC training aimed not simply at providing the necessary legal requirements but to offer a comprehensive package of training bespoke to your operational requirements. So, alongside the core modules, we tailor training to enhance skills relevant to drivers and promote greater awareness and understanding.

We understand that training has to be fitted in around the needs of the day job and so offer courses on- and off-site and on weekdays or weekends.

Training courses at our Halifax or Bradford sites cost £60 per person (including certificate) + £8.75 (DSA upload fee). Courses can also be provided at customer premises for £499 per day for groups of up to 10 people.

Above the obvious wins of reductions in tachograph infringements and accident claims, the SAFEd course is designed to save money and produce significant cost savings.

Each Advanced course counts for 7 training hours towards the 35-hour total every professional driver must complete by September 2014.

All courses are approved by the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT).
