Advanced Supply Chain Group (ASCG) – part of the Reconomy Group – has achieved a coveted shortlisting at the Amazon Everywoman Awards.
Claire Webb, shortlisted for supply chain leader of the year by Amazon Everywoman
ASCG managing director, Claire Webb, has been named alongside supply chain leaders from Wayfair and Virgin Media O2 as one of the industry’s most impressive professionals in the supply chain leader of the year category. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on 30 June 2022.
Now in their 15th year, the awards celebrate the vital contribution women make to transport and logistics showcasing the accomplishments of those leading the sector. Women still only account for 20% of the 1.7 million people working in transport and logistics despite research showing that diverse teams are better positioned to unlock innovation and drive growth.
ASCG has experienced strong growth over recent years against a backdrop of relentless change and ongoing challenges for the supply chain industry. This culminated in a sector-changing deal last year which saw ASCG become part of the Reconomy Group.
Commenting on the shortlisting, Claire Webb said: “With the huge shift in consumer shopping behaviour over recent years, I genuinely believe that the only way to have a competitive advantage and point of difference in retail is through your supply chain. More than ever, it requires real intelligence, a strategic approach, and super smart systems to manage a comprehensive proposition across every possible route to market ensuring your goods are in the right place at the right time when you need them without impacting customer service. At ASCG, we combine the very best technology and talent so we are well-placed to give our customers an edge.
“Supply chain is a really exciting, incredibly fast-paced sector to work in and requires real innovation and agility – that’s why I love it. These awards showcase some of the top talent in our industry so it’s fantastic to have ASCG represented on the shortlist.”
