Environmental Sustainability
Advanced Supply Chain is proud to be part of Reconomy, a global leader in circular economy solutions. As a key component of Reconomy’s Reuse Loop, we specialise in retail returns processing and value added services designed to divert returns from landfill and prepare products for resale and reuse.
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond returns processing. We have introduced a range of environmental initiatives and are continuously exploring opportunities to enhance ethical standards across our operations, while monitoring the latest progress against our sustainability targets. By aligning with Reconomy’s vision, we aim to deliver responsible, sustainable supply chain solutions that reduce waste and support a circular economy.

Our Operations
Our Sites
In 2024, 50% of our operational sites transitioned to sourcing 100% of electricity from renewable sources. By 2028, the aim is that 100% of sites electricity is sourced from renewable sources. To reduce energy consumption, low-energy motion activated lighting has been installed across all sites. We have also taken the initiative to install EV charging points across all sites, with electricity being provided free of charge to all staff to encourage sustainable transport options.
All of our operation sites have ISO14001 Certification, each site has a verified environmental management system in place to control and reduce its environmental impact, comply with relevant laws, and continually improve sustainability performance.
Our Fleet
Transport is a large part of our business we have recognised that this is an area where we can greatly reduce our carbon footprint. We have upgraded our fleet to the latest Euro VI standards for strict emissions standards and fuel efficiency, and we are ensuring that each of our drivers receives training in Safe and Fuel-Efficient Driving (SAFED).
In the last 6-months of 2024, our transport team successfully conducted a trial with HVO fuels to baseline operational efficiency with a biofuel mix. As part of our strategy to reduce scope 1 emissions our transport team will increase HVO within the fuel mix to 100% by 2030. Using HVO fuel can reduce CO2 emissions by 90% and reduces the reliance on finite fossil fuels.
Offering a sustainable fuel strategy to customers, commits ASC to engaging customers in a tangible path to reducing Scope 3 carbon emissions.

Ethics
We are committed to improving ethical standards across all our Operational sites. We are SEDEX Supplier Plus members and in 2025 took initiative to conduct SMETA audits at 50% of our operational sites with plans to expand to cover 100% of sites in 2026. Conducting SMETA audits commits ASC to a continual ethical improvement plan and enhances transparency within the supply chain. By conducting regular audits in line with the latest SMETA guidelines, we continuously challenge and improve our labour standards to meet the highest benchmarks.
Disability Confident Employer
In 2025 ASC became a level 1 Disability Confident Employer, as a part of the wider Reconomy sustainability strategy. As a Disability confident employer, we will improve accessibility and inclusivity for disabled people within recruitment and workplace practices. Being a disability confident employer is step in the right direction to remove barriers faced by disabled people in recruitment and employment.
What are we committed to as a Level 1 Disability Confident Employer:
- Ensure our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible.
