We’re springing into action this April
Returns Deep Dive

ASC along with ReBound and Retail Hive hosted a breakfast event about one of the hottest topics in logistics at the moment, returns.
The discussion highlighted how smarter returns strategies can unlock both operational and commercial value. A key theme was the importance of streamlining returns across all channels enabling greater flexibility for consumers while improving efficiency for retailers.
Understanding customer behaviour also emerged as a critical differentiator. Tailoring the returns experience for different customer segments, from first‑time buyers to VIPs, can significantly enhance satisfaction, trust and long‑term loyalty.
Finally, the conversation reinforced that recommerce is no longer just a sustainability initiative. When managed effectively, it becomes a powerful revenue driver by helping brands recover value, reduce waste and build more resilient, circular supply chains.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a valuable discussion.

Workshop Fun

Emily McGill, Sustainability Communications Manager for the Reuse Division, delivered a series of sustainability training sessions at our Bradford site.
Colleagues from across ASC came together to build a shared understanding of our sustainability strategy, the important role circularity plays in our operations, and how evolving regulations such as EPR and ESPR are influencing both our business and our customers’ requirements.
During the sessions, Emily highlighted key sustainability achievements to date, showcasing the progress ASC has made in embedding circular practices and supporting more responsible supply chains. She also shared our ambitions for the future, outlining how continued collaboration, regulatory readiness and innovation will help us strengthen our impact and support customers as expectations around sustainability continue to grow.
Resale Growth

The global resale market is on a rapid upward trajectory, expected to more than double to $350bn by 2027, growing significantly faster than traditional retail. This acceleration is being driven by a fundamental shift in how products are bought, used and valued.
Changing consumer behaviour, a stronger focus on sustainability, and smarter approaches to returns, repair and recommerce are all pushing resale further into the mainstream. What was once seen as secondary is now becoming a core part of modern retail strategy.
For retailers, resale is about sustainability credentials, protecting margin, recovering value from returned or surplus stock, and extending product life without adding unnecessary operational complexity. With the right processes in place, resale and salvage can become a powerful commercial and environmental win.
At Advanced Supply Chain, our salvage services are designed to maximise recovery while keeping disruption to a minimum, helping retailers turn challenges into opportunities.
Bake Sale Bonanza

Colleagues across the site came together to support Comic Relief with a bake sale, and what a brilliant success it turned out to be!
A huge thank you to everyone who got involved, whether you helped organise the event, baked or donated cakes, volunteered on the day, bought a sweet treat, or simply made a donation.
We initially set ourselves a fundraising target of £250 and are absolutely delighted to share that we smashed it, raising an incredible £800 in total. The generosity and enthusiasm shown by everyone involved was fantastic to see.
