As we move into August, we’ve wrapped up the busiest part of our events calendar. The standout event was undoubtedly Deliver Europe in Amsterdam, where we had the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, build new relationships, explore the latest technology innovations, and showcase our end-to-end logistics services to a European audience.

More recently, we attended Retail Jam, an event we look forward to each year for its relaxed atmosphere and strong focus on sustainability. This year was particularly exciting as we attended as part of Reconomy, demonstrating how multiple businesses across the group can work together to deliver fully integrated, sustainable solutions. From providing services like comprehensive PWR’ solutions to ASC’s clothing rework and logistics expertise, we highlighted the power of collaboration in supporting a more circular future.

Positive Steps

A generous donation of running shoes from Brooks Running, facilitated by ASC, is making a real difference at HMP Stoke Heath, helping prisoners improve their physical health, mental wellbeing and confidence.

Described by staff as one of the most impactful donations they have seen, the trainers have removed a key barrier to participation in activities such as recreational running. The initiative has given participants the confidence to get active, build healthier routines and support their rehabilitation, demonstrating the positive impact that businesses can have beyond their day-to-day operations. ]Prison staff have also reported improvements in self-esteem, resilience and overall wellbeing, with many participants feeling more motivated and positive about the future.

A special thank you goes to Karl Steer, Account Manager at ASC, for helping to facilitate the donation. It’s a fantastic example of how collaboration between organisations can make a meaningful difference in our communities and support positive change through partnership.
